“ Absolutely amazing service, thank you so much to Nick, Lucas and Charlie for letting us come in out of the cold even though they will still setting up. Great food, music and service. I would highly recommend coming here for a bite to eat and a drink. They go ABOVE and beyond with everything. All fresh food to the display and the food cooked in the kitchen. “ A very cute little cafe that was featured in the Netflix series Bridgerton! Very nicely decorated with special different features that made every corner unique. Plenty of spacing both inside and outside, and lots of treats to buy. Staff were super friendly and even recommended visiting the bathroom to see the photos from the tv show. Loved the coffee cup decorations and the simple English breakfast tea was great for a colder day. ”
“ This is the setting of Madame Delacroix’s Modiste in popular Netflix series, Bridgerton. We rocked up around 9:30am for breakfast and it was relatively empty, so I’d recommend you go early. Staff are great and breakfast choices are good. I had smashed Avo on toast with an oat cap. Worth the visit, even if you aren’t a Bridgerton fan. ”
“ Could not recommend The Abbey Deli enough. First time in Bath, visited here as a Bridgerton fan but was so impressed with the service and food. We went back several times during our stay. Nick welcomed us each time (also saying hello if he saw us around the street) and could not be more helpful and kind! The food and tea was great quality and all fresh/homemade and the cafe itself had a cosy atmosphere. ”
“ I visited here a few months back with a friend and happened to buy some tea just because of the unique packaging. When I got home and tried the tea it is quite simply the best I have ever had, which is saying something considering that I come from a tea fanatic background. I’ve tried all the other teas from supermarkets to local independent tea shops to even other small independently owned cafes. Nothing compares to the tea I bought from here, it was so good I actually emailed them and asked them to post around 7 boxes to me up in Scotland. Which they very graciously did and the wonderful and extremely professional Nicky from the widcombe deli made sure they got to me perfectly packed and in good order. I’m not a big TV person so I don’t know much about the TV show connection they have. But I can fully endorse the earl grey and breakfast tea I got from here as being some of the best (if not the best) I have ever had in my life. ”
“ Very pleasant. Lovely location near the abbey and covered in wisteria which is lovely. Inside is friendly and casual. Tables in three rooms. Great that they are not crammed in, plenty of room and good size variation from 8 to 2 seats per table. Music is chilled and relaxing old classics. Service is timely, friendly and good. Food is fine. What it lacks in presentation it more than makes up in taste. Decor is nice dark wood panel generated a kind of homely atmosphere and art abounds, pictures everywhere. The back room is most quirky with teacups attached to the ceiling and a light airy feel with floral paper. Really nice and relaxed in a busy area. ”
“ Such a hidden gem, well worth a visit. Inside is so lovely, homely, rustic and unique, it's an old building so will have quirks but all the better for it. The staff were lovely and the food beautiful. The quiche lorraine was packed full and so tasty, it had a really nice smokey taste to it. I saw a review that said it had no taste mine certainly did! We had a flapjack and pastry as well and again packed full and really tasty, thank you, we will be back! ”
“ Lovely afternoon treat at the 'Modiste' to round off a weekend in Bath including a Bridgerton Walking Tour. We were drawn in by the affiliation with the show but the food was truly delicious, the quiche, sausage roll and cakes were shared were lovely. Friendly staff and a brilliant location. ”
